I watched you walk away
Never to return to me again,
The battlefield your last stand.
My final heartbreak.

Watching your back as you walked away,
The last standing, the last loving
to give it your all on the bloody battlefield
A waste of our pure never ending love.

Dropping to the ground
I hear the echo of your  voice
Calling to your enemy
It is my name on your liips.

As the orange sun makes its way
My tears reflected in the glow of
The final farewell.
I now wait for death to take me to you.

The beat of your heart has stopped
Mine slows and my eyes shut,
The blood on the sword, yours
The black soul now mine.

You made me the promise
In the early morning light of goodbye
You would find me again in time
Our souls would again live in eternity.

Until then my warrior, I say farewell to us.
