I got lost last night walking down a dirt road. It was winding down a hill, and dark.
I kept asking "Where am I going?"
Only a soft voice would whisper, I couldn't figure out what it said.
I felt the cold air on my flesh and got scared. It was so cold, why wouldn't it warm up?
I then called again, "Where am I going? I am confused, please tell me."
I heard the voice softly call to me, it sounded like a tiny bell as it replied, "No where."
I kept thinking that if I was going now where, then what was the point.
I felt the darkness envelope me, my mind became numb.
The road became bumpier, and I kept stumbling and falling.
I wanted answers but I was too frozen inside to ask. I knew that no one would give me an answer, and I had to keep walking to find out.
I felt my feet moving faster, like someone was shoving me. Then I saw him a second before I was upon him.
I never saw his face, I only felt his arms as I literally ran into them.
I felt security, love, and peace, it warmed me.
I felt my mind thaw as I began to feel serenity close me in, just as his arms had come around me.
I then saw a light that beckoned me to it. Only my heart told me it wasn't for me to walk towards, but to watch as the light changed to a hazy soft red.
I had found my way, I now realized that my wanderings were towards something much bigger than I could even hope to realize by myself.
